Snapshot management options are not available for VCF Automation (VCF-A) and VCF Identity Broker within Fleet Management, while they remain available for other components such as VCF Operations (VCF-Ops) and VCF-Ops for Logs.
VCF 9.0 and later
VCF Automation
VCF Operations
Snapshot functionality has been intentionally removed for both VCF Automation and VCF Identity Broker due to architectural changes introduced in VCF 9.0 and beyond. These components are now deployed and managed in a manner that does not support traditional snapshot-based protection.
This behavior is expected and by design starting from VCF 9.0.
The only supported method for safeguarding VCF Automation and Identity Broker in VCF 9.0+ is via backup and restore mechanisms.
SFTP is mandatory as the backup target. Users must ensure regular backups are configured according to the documented process.
For backup guidance, refer to the official Broadcom documentation:

Note: Attempting to take snapshots for VCF Automation or Identity Broker is unsupported and may result in inconsistent system behavior if done manually via other means.
Snapshot UI options will continue to be visible for other products within Fleet that still support them (e.g., VCF-Ops).
