Issue/Introduction

Stretching VCF Mgmt Cluster is failing at 48% with the error below

Message: Failed to add host name.host.com to Datacenter datacenter-#

Remediation Message:

Reference Token: 6HROG7

Cause: Task: (MOR:task-129667) (Name:addStandaloneHost) Entity: (MOR:group-h5) (Name:host) is failed License not available to perform the operation.

Hosts show "ERROR" status:

Environment

SDDC 5.2.x

Cause

Trying to add hosts to a stretched vSAN cluster (management) that spans 2 AZs.  When running the JSON spec file through the API, an expired license key was used.  After correcting the license key on the hosts, the task to add hosts still fails.

Resolution

Hosts will first need to be manually removed from the database.  Contact Broadcom Technical Support for assistance.
