Error: It looks like <node 2 IP Address> and <node 3 IP Address> are the same host.
Hint: Each cluster host must be a distinct machine.
Installation FAILED with errors.

Environment

Linux 9.6 and NetOps 24.3.10 and earlier

Cause

This is due to a Vertica issue in 23.4.0-12 that was remedied in 23.4.0-17 that revolved around obtaining and parsing the IP Addresses during install_vertica.  23.4.0-17 is included as part of NetOps 24.3.11+, as such, Linux 9.6 is only supported as of NetOps 24.3.11.

Resolution

Either use Linux 9.1-9.5 or install NetOps 24.3.11+.
