Issue upgrading to VCF Operations 9.0 with checksum error LCMSOURCEMAPPING10018

Issue/Introduction

Attempting to perform the binary mapping of VCF Operations 9.0 in Aria Lifecycle Manager 8.18 produces the following error:

Error Code: LCMSOURCEMAPPING10018

Selected files checksums does not match with any product versions supported by VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.

One or more selected files checksums does not match with any product versions supported by VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle: [/data/Operations-Upgrade-9.0.0.0.24695814.pak]

Environment

Aria Lifecycle Manager 8.18

Cause

This is caused by a missing patch in the Aria Lifecycle Manager appliance.

Per the VCF 9 upgrade instructions (1), the appliance will need to be on Patch 2 to perform the upgrade.

Resolution

In the Aria Lifecycle Manager UI, confirm if the appliance is missing Patch 2 by clicking on the username in the upper-right corner of the page, and then clicking on "About".

To apply Patch 2, follow the instruictions in the Aria Lifecycle Managter release notes (2).
