CSP Management Monitor page does not retrieve events and fails with error code 300 I/O Error Socket Closed

Issue/Introduction

The customer reported an issue where events were not displayed in the Monitor page in the CSP 8.0.2 Java Console, and instead, Error Code 300 popped up. 

Environment

CSP 8.0.2

 

Cause

The issue was caused by applying a prevention configuration that had modified Log Rules.

This resulted in the uncontrolled growth of the CSPEvent table and a problem with the usage of TEMPDB when using the Monitor page. 

Resolution

The issue was resolved by applying the configuration with default Log Rules filter and reducing the size of the database by purging excess of events.
