Issue/Introduction

When adding a dual stack network to a VM with  ip mode "dhcp" for both ipv4 and ipv6, you receive an error: [ UUID-UUID-UUID-UUID] Following errors occurred while updating network connections: Cannot use DHCP as the address mode for both the IPv4 and IPv6 subnets on a dual stack network."

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.x

Resolution

This is an expected behavior.
A dual stack OVDC network can only have either DHCP or DHCP6 enabled, not both at same time. You must select the subnet that will use DHCP as defined in the ovdc-network
