In Aria Suite Lifecycle Manger triggering a sync on Aria Operations for Logs gets error LCMVRLISYSTEM45018

Issue/Introduction

Error viewed from the UI:

Error Code: LCMVRLISYSTEM45018
 
IO error , Check VMware Aria Operations for Logs instance is up and running.

In the lifecycle manager logs (/var/log/vrlcm/) can see the following:

Environment

Aria for logs  8.18.3

Aria suite lifecycle  Manager 8.16.0.4

Aria for logs 8.x

Aria Suite lifecycle manger 8.x

Cause

This was due to NTP mismatch between Aria Suite lifecycle Manger and Aria for logs. Verified by running 'date' command from an SSH session to both Aria Operations for logs and Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager and verifying that they did not match. 

Resolution

Verify that NTP matches between LCM and AOL and that NTP server config tests succeed if using an NTP server config.

Synchronize NTP

 Once NTP has been configured successfully perform the inventory sync from LCM once again
