Issue/Introduction

An administrator observes vSphere replication appliance going into maintenance mode repeatedly in console page with error "Failed to start File Systeck on /dev/support_vg/support"

Environment

VMware vSphere Replication (All Versions)

Cause

The issue occurs in operating system if there are forced resets/poweroff of VMs

Resolution

Run the command e2fsck -y /dev/support_vg/support in vSphere replication appliance console and reboot the appliance.
