Issue/Introduction

Sender domain registered in Email Security Cloud is unable to send an email to external 3rd party recipient and is encountering error 550 5.7.1 <email address>... Relaying denied.

Cause

Error 550 5.7.1 <email address>... Relaying denied is caused due to Spam Filtering/Content Control gateway at the recipient end or either due to some misconfiguration on recipient end.

Resolution

The recipient mail server administrator should be contacted in such cases to investigate and fix issues on their end.
