Issue/Introduction

When working with VMware vCloud Director, users may encounter the following error when attempting to publish a catalog or subscribed catalog externally in the VMware Cloud Director UI:

"Publish external catalogs" is currently disabled for org "<Org>"; enable this to allow publishing of catalog "<Catalog>" externally.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.X

Cause

This issue is caused when the publishing settings in the Organization are disabled.

Resolution

To resolve this issue please perform the following:

1. Login to the Provider Portal
2. Select Organizations
3. Select the Affected Organization
4. Under Configure Select Catalog
5. Under Publishing select Edit and enable the following settings
   • Publish external catalogs
   • Subscribe to external catalogs
