VCF upgrade fails with "Retrieving update patches bundles failed. Unable to retrieve aggregated LCM bundles: Cannot set properties of undefined. (Setting 'UngradeStatus')"

Issue/Introduction

• VCF upgrades from 4.4 or 4.5 to 5.2.1 failed with the error:
  
  Retrieving update patches bundles failed. Unable to retrieve aggregated LCM bundles: Cannot set properties of undefined. (Setting 'UngradeStatus')


• SDDC Manager has been upgraded successfully.
• In the /var/log/vmware/vcf/lcm/lcm.log:

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2.1

Cause

Some bundles of VCF 5.2.1 have not been downloaded and available in SDDC Manager even through these bundles type is PATCH. It is necessary to download all bundles. 

Resolution

To resolve the issue:

1. Verify if all the bundles of VCF 5.2.1 have been downloaded in Bundle Management of SDDC Manager. The bundles of each version can been seen from VMware Cloud Foundation - Upgrade Bundle Details
2. If some bundles are not downloaded yet, download it from SDDC Manager if it can connect to internet or using OBTU if it is unable to connect to internet. See Using the Offline Bundle Transfer Utility for Disconnected VMware Cloud Foundation Sites
   
   NOTE: the bundle-130870 of NSX_ALB is not necessary to download for the VCF upgrade from 4.4 / 4.5 to 5.2.1
3. After all bundles are downloaded and available in SDDC Manager, rerun the upgrade again.
