"Current configuration changes exceeds the safe publish limits. Please publish the rules or save them as a draft" message on the NSX UI while loading an imported DFW rule draft

Issue/Introduction

While loading an imported DFW rule draft, the following message in observed on the NSX Manager UI:

"Current configuration changes exceeds the safe publish limits. Please publish the rules or save them as a draft"

Environment

VMware NSX 4.x

Cause

If there are 2500 or more modifications in the Firewall drafts, this message is expected. 

Resolution

This will be addressed in an upcoming NSX release.

Workaround:

Please click publish and proceed with loading the draft.
