You are receiving the below message for several of our Broadcom products:
CAS9182A - WARNING: LMP key Prod (xx) xxxxxxxxxx expires in 018 days.
You notice that the LMP Key shows a DATE that does not coincide with this warning message.
Is there a Grace Period, is CAS9182A accounting for a Grace Period ? When will the products fail to function ?
The LMP key DATE on the KEY is basically a comment. The actual date of expiration is calculated by CAIRIM based on the encoded date on the key and logic that ensures the expiration does not occur on a weekend. It is usually on the Tues following the encoded date, but can be longer.
Prod(KO) Date(12SEP27) CPU(*SITE*-/########) LMPCODE(################)
It shows the expiration date of Sept 12 of 2027. The actual expiration date is: Sept 21 2027.
Prod (KO) viols|warns/stat(000/N) Warnstart(Sun, 22-Aug-2027) Expiry1(Tue, 21-Sep-2027) Expiry2(Tue, 21-Sep-2027) Product name(TOP-SECRET )
The true expiration date is detailed under Expiry2:
Expiry1 and Expiry2 were originally provided to support grace periods, but the current policy is 0 days grace since product functionality is unaffected by an expired or missing key.
Note: The Product Name will only be shown if running CCS 15.0 with LU04507 implemented.
