Issue/Introduction

  • vGPU VM Creation Error
  • Getting either of below errors when creating VM in vGPU enabled vdc:
    • "Invalid memory setting: memory reservation (sched.mem.min) should be equal to memsize(####)"
    • "The operation could not be performed because the argument is invalid. A specified parameter was not correct: spec.memoryAllocation.reservation vCenter Server task (moref: task-#######) failed in vCenter Server '###############' (########-####-####-####-############). - A specified parameter was not correct: spec.memoryAllocation.reservation"

Cause

This issue occurs when the VM does not have 100% memory reservation

Resolution

From a memory perspective, the memory for a VM must be 100% assigned by reservation. This is a requirement from
