Issue/Introduction

• While changing the limit of the allocated storage capacity that was configured for a storage policy, warning appears - 

^{This storage limit surpasses the available storage for the provider VDC storage policy that backs this organization VDC storage policy.}

• The change still goes through after clicking ok

Environment

VMware Vcloud Director 10.x 

Cause

This warning indicates the new Storage limit will result in overcommitment of Storage space in the environment. 

Resolution

There is no action needed for this warning. The datastore capacity on the vSphere side needs to be monitored since an overcommitted environment may fill up the datastores if unmonitored.  See: Create or Modify Alarms.
