NSX upgrade from SDDC manager fails with error: Update not possible while .. is in failed state

Issue/Introduction

•  SDDC manager logs shows the following error:

errorDescription: Upgrade is not VVS compatible to continue with null Due to error: VxManager HTTP Reguest failed with invalid status code, error:  
 [executeVxManagerHttpRequest] VxManager http Request /rest/vxm/v1/system failed with status code 401, error message 
 {"message":  "The VxRail Manager failed to connect to the vCenter over HTTPS. Refer to KB000214474 for troubleshooting details."}
  

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation on VxRail

Cause

The VxRail API call  /rest/vxm/v1/system returns a 401 code error (Unauthorized) when trying to connect to the vCenter.

Resolution

Engage Dell support to investigate the VxRail Manager
