Metric Selector not showing metrics for vApps/VMs in Aria Operations plugin after Chargeback migration

Issue/Introduction

Navigating to Metering - Metric Selector in the Operations Plugin in vCloud Director displays the below for vApps/Virtual Machines:

No metrics to select

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x 

Cause

Metrics for Chargeback are disabled in Aria Operations 

Resolution

To resolve this issue, please follow the below steps:

• Login to Aria Operations UI page 
• Navigate to Administration - Control Panel - Chargeback - Manage Metrics 
• Select Object type for:
  • vApps: VMware Cloud Director Adapter - vApp 
  • Virtual Machines: vCenter - Virtual Machine
• Change the State from Deactivated to Activated for the Metrics/Properties you want to see under Metric Selector 
• Click Save and check the Metric Selector on VCD to view the Metrics
