Introduction: 

File Watcher processes are still running after I run CHANGE_STATUS to SU

 

Question: 

We have File Watcher processes after we have run a sendevent CHANGE_STATUS to 

Success.  Shouldn't these processes be killed?

 

Environment:  

11.3.x of the System Agent on All platforms

 

Answer: 

No, the file watcher processes will continue to run until it completes its process.

If you delete these processes the job status will change to FA (failure)

Using sendevent CHANGE_STATUS will not delete the job status. We would recommend

using a KILLJOB to terminate the job.
