Transport Nodes are in NSX Install Failed state

Issue/Introduction

• In the NSX manager GUI, ESXi hosts are in NSX Install Failed state

• When you click on "NSX Installed Failed" you can see Error as follows:

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center

vSphere ESXi

Cause

The version of NSX VIB's installed on the host does not match the current ESXi version. Due to this, the transport node is marked as "NSX Install Failed".

Resolution

For the Transport Nodes reported in NSX Install Failed state, perform the following steps:

1. Click on NSX Install Failed

2. Select the checkbox where the error is displayed.

3. Click on Resolve.

This will make NSX manager to push correct VIBs on the ESXi host.
