SITEMINDER CA Single Sign On Secure Proxy Server (SiteMinder)

Issue/Introduction

When starting CA Access Gateway (SPS) after upgrading it from 12.8SP6a to 12.9, the CA Access Gateway (SPS) cannot be automatically started, and it reports the error:

"Services have not been shutdown properly."

Services have not been shutdown properly. Please ensure that the services are
stopped completely and then re-invoke this installation.

Resolution

Remove the pid files before starting the CA Access Gateway (SPS):

/{home_sps}/httpd/logs/httpd.pid
/{home_sps}/proxy-engine/tmp/sps.pid
