Activating and Setting a Temporary Password for a User in the Internal Identity Store

Issue/Introduction

A new user has been created in the internal Identity Store via the Admin Console. However, due to an SMTP/SMS server issue, the activation email or SMS was not received.
How can the administrator use the Admin Console to activate the user and set a temporary password?

Environment

VIP Authentication Hub 3.3.4

Resolution

Login to Admin Console as the Tenant Administrator, go the Settings > Identity Store, select the Internal Identity Store and turn on the "Allow Admins to generate password" and click the [Save Configuration] button.

And then go to Users, search and select the user, on the Status tab turn off (set to "No") the "Locked" and "Disabled" parameter. The [Reset Password] link appears, click this link.

The Reset Password dialog appears, select "Create a temporary password" and click [Reset Password] button.

A temporary password will be generated and ready for use during login.
