ESX 9.0 Host HTML client under Storage tab shows "No Data Available"

Products

• VMware vSphere ESXi
• VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0

Issue/Introduction

• Logging on to the ESX Host HTML client in 9.0
  • Under Monitor --> Hardware --> Storage
  • The Page shows "No Data Available" message and does not populate any data 
    
    
• Below is the screen shot from ESX Host Client Log in

Environment

ESX 9.x 

Cause

• CIM Services are no longer available and is Decommissioned in version ESX 9.0 and later 
  
  
• The Older version of ESXi did have CIM Services / sfcbd Watchdog service available as seen below screenshot for vSphere 8.0 U2
   
  
  
• The ESX 9.0 or later does not have CIM / sfcbd services available and has been decommissioned below is the screenshot reference
   
  
  
• The ESX Host Client fetches the CIM Services directly to populate the Storage Tab 
  • Under Monitor --> Hardware --> Storage
    
    
• Since the CIM / Sfcbd service is decommissioned, the Storage tab within HTML Client fetches no information and reports "No Data Available" message
   

Resolution

• This is a Known issue and will be addressed in the future release
• If the replacement solutions are required for existing CIM providers, please reach out to corresponding 3rd party CIM vendor.
