Facing an issue when updating VMware Tools

Issue/Introduction

Once you install the latest 12.5.2 version offline, VMware tools vib to all ESXi hosts via command line the summary page of Windows VMs is showing different version

Environment

VMware vSphere 8.x

VMware vSphere 7.x

Cause

Internal VMware Tools version mistaken for External version

Resolution

• VM summary page is showing the internal version of VMware Tools, which in this scenario is 12450.
• This internal version is corresponding to external version 12.5.2

Internal version 12450 was mistaken for external version 12.4.5
