VMware Cloud Director MP integration fails during 'Validate Connection'

Issue/Introduction

• VMware Cloud Director Management Pack (MP) integration fails during the "Validate Connection" step.
• No error messages are displayed, and the "Save" and "Cancel" buttons remain greyed out.
• Telnet to port 443 from the Aria Operations node completes successfully.

• The openssl command retrieves the expected SSL certificate, confirming connectivity and certificate availability.

  openssl s_client -connect <VCD-cell-FQDN>:443 -showcerts

 

 

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

This issue is attributed to an underlying network connectivity problem.

Resolution

Coordinate with the networking team to address and resolve the underlying network issue.

Workaround:

• Import the CA Certificate for VCD in Aria Operations.

  Navigate to Administration > Certificates > Import, then browse to select the PEM file and click Save
