Issue/Introduction

 Cloud file system usage increased and reached licence capacity. 

Environment

VMware Live Cyber Recovery (VLCR) 7.27.x

Cause

PG retention period is set for 3 months.

Snapshots are taken every 4 Hours and are kept  for 3 months( until the retention period reached to expired and deleted the snaps). 
Total number of snaps for PG "########" gets accumulated to 536 due to 3 months retention period.

Resolution

We do recommend to implement below changes for the PG retention policy:

For 4 hrs schedule, I would suggest to keep retention for 3, 7 or 15 days
For Daily schedule,  should keep retention for 2 weeks
For Weekly, should keep retention for 1 month
For Monthly, should keep retention 2 or 3 months

Also user can manually delete older snapshots from PG "######" and space will get reclaimed once the next SR job runs.
