Missing/Truncated data in Compliance Check results

Issue/Introduction

Host Integrity (HI) Policy is created with multiple rules/requirements on Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM).

The results for it can be checked under Monitor> Logs, Log type: Compliance, Log content: Client Host Integrity and clicking on Details

It is observed that the compliance check results does not show all the Requirement/Rules.
Some characters are truncated in few results field as well.

On the client side, complete details is displayed with HI failed/passed results.

Cause

The results of HI policy is beyond the specified limit (3000 characters) in the events column of database.

Resolution

This limit is by design, currently there is no workaround available to modify it.

The SEPM limits the length of data in the results to 3000 to control the growth of database. So, only the first (condensed) 3000 characters are stored in the events data and displayed.

As an alternate, following can be done to allow more details to fit in the allowed space:

• Reduce the number of rules to simplify the HI logic
• Shorten the name of rules
