Issue/Introduction
A change in behavior is seen in Windows output files after upgrading Applications Manager to version 9.6.
Certain Standard Error (stderr) such as error messages, warning, and/or other diagnostic information may no longer be printed into the output file.
Reverting to an %AW_HOME%\c\ntspawn.exe from a previous ntspawn.exe from a previous version such as 9.3 or 9.4, restores previous functionality.
Environment
Applications Manager 9.5 to 9.6
Windows OS only
Cause
May be a bug introduced with changes to ntspawn executable
Resolution
Workaround:
- Download the attached ntspawn_v4.171379.zip
- extract file and rename to ntspawn.exe
- rename current %AW_HOME%\c\ntspawn.exe to ntspawn.exe.bak or any other name of your choosing
- move extracted ntspawn to the c directory (a restart is not needed)
Solution:
Fix will be included in Applications Manager version 9.7 and/or 9.6.2
