How to assign the dashboard folder level permission /role to the users :
Currently the dashboard folder level permission /role can be assigned only when the user is available in dx OI. As per the OI feature user won't display in OI gui user list until the specific user login into dx OI. In a Large enterprise level environment it is not possible for all the users to login in dx OI until it is needed even if the saml integration is enabled .
So the requirement is to implement the DX dashboard folder permission in such a way that oi admin can assign the permission to the user automatically without user login .
Example:
user 1,user2,user3 are members of groupA . It is needed to assign permission to group A , so whenever user 1,user2.user 3 logs in can get access by default . In DX O2 group level permission options are there in the rest of places like universe but in dx dashboard folder level is only on existing user based.

It was implemented a certain way in the past and it should be corrected going forward. and this may take some time , meanwhile the workaround can be followed as

A Tenant Administrator can hide the OOTB dashboards from being displayed on this page. To hide the OOTB dashboards, navigate to the Preferences page and select the Hide Out-of-the-box Dashboards checkbox. When you select this checkbox,
Only the custom dashboards are displayed. The OOTB dashboards are hidden for all the users in the tenant except for the Tenant Administrators.
