jdbc_response probe error : cannot issue statements that produce result sets

Issue/Introduction

You are configuring the jdbc_response probe and the connection test succeeds, but queries all fail with an error:  "Unable to create the connection.Caught exception running profile (profilename) :java.sql.SQLException: Statement.executeUpdate() or Statement.executeLargeUpdate() cannot issue statements that produce result sets.

• DX UIM - Any Version
• jdbc_response probe - any version

 

Cause

Error in database URL

Resolution

If the database name provided in the Database connection URL is incorrect (e.g. the database does not exist) this error can occur.

Double-check that the database name is correct.  The connection test itself may succeed even with an incorrect database name.
