Issue/Introduction

If an Aria Ops instance is restored due to a storage issue, any or all analytics nodes can show as being inaccessible via the admin interface.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

Resolution

  1. Log in to the Aria Operations admin UI as the local admin user.

  2. Take the cluster Offline/Online.

  3. Take a snapshot of each Aria Node(s) before proceeding, see as reference KB  How to take a Snapshot of VMware Aria Operations

  4. Follow the steps from the KB  Manual filesystem check for Aria Operations 8.x (Formerly vRealize Operations)

    Note:
Only if the emergency shell fails to start correctly when using the KB above, follow the next steps here instead:

    1. Reboot the virtual appliance, and immediately after the OS starts, press 'e' to open the GNU GRUB Edit Menu.

    2. To the end of the line containing elevator=noop, then type fsck.repair=yes, which adds another option to the line, this process could take some time, wait until is finished.
