Issue/Introduction

Privileged Access Management (PAM) Admin noticed after upgrading to PAM 4.2.1

Sporadic session recordings going into Encoding Error failure status

In the session logs you find the following error

PAM-SRM-0026: An error occurred while post-processing of session recording: org.bouncycastle.tls.TlsFatalAlert: internal_error(80) org.bouncycastle.tls.TlsFatalAlert: internal_error(80)  File: 20250504PAM/XXXX_RDP

If you attempt to click on the associated session recording to fix it, you will get the same error in the session logs.

Environment

PAM 4.2.1 and 4.2.2

Resolution

 The problem will be fixed in future release of PAM and if a fix on top of 4.2.1 or 4.2.2 is required, a Support case should be opened.
