Privileged Access Management (PAM) Admin noticed after upgrading to PAM 4.2.1
Sporadic session recordings going into Encoding Error failure status
In the session logs you find the following error
PAM-SRM-0026: An error occurred while post-processing of session recording: org.bouncycastle.tls.TlsFatalAlert: internal_error(80) org.bouncycastle.tls.TlsFatalAlert: internal_error(80) File: 20250504PAM/XXXX_RDP
or:
PAM-SRM-0026: An error occurred while post-processing of session recording: org.bouncycastle.tls.TlsFatalAlert: insufficient_security(71) org.bouncycastle.tls.TlsFatalAlert: insufficient_security(71) File: 20250506PAM/XXXX_RDP
If you attempt to click on the associated session recording to fix it, you will get the same error in the session logs.
PAM 4.2.1, 4.2.2, 4.2.3 and 4.3.0
If you are running into the error:
This defect (DE635340) is resolved in PAM 4.2.3, 4.2.4 and 4.3.0
This defect (DE639445) is resolved in PAM 4.2.4 and 4.3.0
If you are running PAM 4.2.1 or 4.2.2 and cannot upgrade, a Support case should be opened.
