Incorrect Default Path when applying maintenance with OM Web Viewer 12.1

Issue/Introduction

The following was displayed when applying the latest maintenance build. to Web Viewer 12.1

Update Web Viewer running on an Apache Tomcat server
----------------------------------------------------

Enter the full path of the Web Viewer unzipped web application folder
   (Default: apache-tomcat-9.0.98/webapps/CAOMWebViewer12):

This is the wrong path, it should be /opt/CA_OM_Web_Viewer/apache-tomcat-9.0.106/webapps/CAOMWebViewer12.  

 

Environment

• OM Web Viewer 12.1
• Red Hat Linux
• Apache Tomcat®

 

Cause

The  InstallPackage.properties file contained the wrong path

Resolution

There are two .properties files which contain the default path Web Viewer uses when maintenance is being applied.
These files are setup initially when a full install of the product is done.

 InstallPackage.properties is updated with the current  path when applying an Apache Tomcat upgrade supplied for Web Viewer 12.1.

However Tomcat 9.0.106 was installed from the Apache Tomcat website and InstallPackage.properties was not updated.
Therefore, the default path was incorrect when applying a new Web Viewer 12.1 build. 

To resolve the problem,

1. Edit the InstallPackage.properties and the TomcatPackage.properties to point to the correct path   or
2. As a workaroud, override the default path when applying maintenance
