Issue/Introduction

There was a special holiday and some of our applications do not process on that day. We have a calendar that has the date coded as a Special Day only for any group who wants to skip processing. The event has a basic SCHEDULE statement for 07:00 WORKDAYS and a DO NOT SCHEDULE 07:00 OURDAY.

Environment

ESP dSeries: 12.3 or above

Cause

When a special is defined in events that has specific date, then calendar after the date has passed will not be reflected at event level.

Resolution

If users have special day in calendar that point to specific dates, e.g. (see below)

Then event will process special days (OURDAY) up until 26 Jun 2026.  If user wants to or adds another OURDAY to calendar after 27 Jun 2026, then the event needs to be reevaluated.  This is because on 26 Jun2026 there was no new entry in the calendar.  Any time a calendar is updated after the previous date has passed, the event must be update manually or via scheduleallevents with reevaluate option.

scheduleallevents eventnames("USER.APPL1234") REEVALUATESCHEDULES(true)

Additional Information
