Issue/Introduction

  • Latency observed on vSAN cluster under "vSAN cluster>Monitor>Performance"

  • Backup operation like taking backup and restoration reports to be slow.

Environment

VMware vSAN (All Versions)

Cause

This could be due to the network connectivity issue between the hosts using vSAN network

  • Network performance tests may show poor bandwidth between the data nodes.

  • vmkping test shows packet loss between between the working and problematic data node.
