Issue/Introduction

Looking for upgrade assistance of VMware Aria Operations for Logs from version 8.18.3 to VCF Operations for Logs 9.0.

Environment

VCF Operations for Logs 9.0

 

Resolution

VMware Aria Operations for Logs version 8.18.x does not support an in-place upgrade to version 9.0. Instead, a fresh deployment of version 9.0 is required.

Both versions (8.18.3 and 9.0) can run in parallel. To proceed:

• Unconfigure all existing integrations from the 8.18.3 instance. Keep the 8.18.3 instance running to retain historical log data for reference.
• Reconfigure them on the newly deployed 9.0 instance. Deploying the VCF Operations for logs
