Issue/Introduction

When you click Generate New in the Support Bundles view of the NSX Manager UI, the support bundle fails to generate, and you see an error similar to:

"Error generating support bundle because of insufficient disk space."

Environment

Vmware NSX

Cause

Insufficient disk space in the manager appliance due to core dump files.

Resolution

Run this command to check the available space on the /image partition:

From admin CLI:

get filesystem-stats

From root shell:

df -h /image/
du -h --max-depth=1 /image/  | sort -hr |head

Check for files under /image partition:

In the NSX Manager CLI, delete the unused files located at /image/core/
Back up file locally that may be required in the future for RCA

Once the necessary free space is reclaimed, regenerate the support bundle.
