Issue/Introduction

On the SDDC Manager UI > Bundle Management page, no bundles are displayed and two errors are shown in a red banner -

  • Retrieving all applicable bundles failed. Encountered fetching http://127.0.0.1/lcm/inventory/upgrades api - Request failed with status code 500
  • Retrieving available bundles failed. Unable to retrieve aggregated domains upgrade status: Encountered fetching http://127.0.0.1/lcm/inventory/upgrades api - Request failed with status code

Environment

VCF 5.2.1.0

Cause

A stale upgrade plan may cause this issue

Resolution

Implement this action plan -

  • Take a snapshot of the SDDC Manager VM (without memory), this is mandatory
  • Check that all planned upgrades were cancelled
  • Deleting old plans can also be done in the Developer Center section in the SDDC UI by calling this API-
    DELETE /v1/releases/domains/{domain_id} for each domain
  • Restart the lcm service on the SDDC Manager by ssh to it as vcf, su to root and then issue this command -
    • systemctl restart lcm

Review the SDDC Manager UI > Bundle Management page - the red banner errors should no longer appear, the bundles should appear as expected

If this action plan does not resolve the issue please open a case with Broadcom technical support for further assistance
