Error while moving VM from one vApp to another vApp

Issue/Introduction

• Unable to move VM from one vApp to another vApp in same Org VDC.
• You will see the below error from Debug logs,
  
  Failed to update and has been rolled back. The operation failed because no suitable resource was found. Out of 1 candidate hubs:
1 hubs eliminated because: Does not contain required resourcepool(s): Resources  Rejected hubs: resgroup-###### PlacementException NO_FEASIBLE_PLACEMENT_SOLUTION

DEBUG    | Backend-activity-pool-1583891 | ResourcePoolAffinityFinder     | Candidate resource pools remaining after handling datastore affinity requirements: [moref://4df9####-####-####d6a4/ResourcePool#resgroup-######]

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.x

Cause

This issue occurs when VM have VM affinity rule.

Resolution

Follow the below to remove the VM from the VM affinity rule.

1. Select the Datacenter in tenant portal
2. Under compute, click on Affinity Rules.
3. Select the VM and remove the VM from the VM affinity rule
