Issue/Introduction

  • Seeing high disk IO or CPU usage spikes at times associated with repmgr.exe creating C:\Windows\Temp\etilqs_* files
  • When reviewing a procmon during the time of a performance issue the most active process is repmgr.exe writing files to this location

Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud Windows Sensor: All Supported Versions

Cause

This is normal sensor behavior which shouldn't cause performance issues in most cases

Resolution

If it's believed that this could be causing performance issues please collect a procmon with sensor logs and open a support case
