Introduction:

Need to find SiteMinder Downloads

Question:

Customer wants to find the download area for CA Single Sign On (SiteMinder) components

Environment:  ALL

IMPORTANT: The steps below were done with Internet Explorer 11; there may be some slight differences with other browsers.

Answer:

There are two separate sections for downloads of SiteMinder components.

DOWNLOADS AREA 1

The first location is where you download the base, non-patched, versions and service packs of CA Single Sign On (SiteMinder) Components.
Example: 12.51, 12.52SP1, etc
There are some parts of the product in this area that do not exist in the patched area like the report server install.
To get to this area follow these steps:

1.) Go to support.ca.com and Login using your CA Support credentials.
2.) Go to download center and select "Download Products"
3.) On the next page, in products menu, select your CA Single Sign On (SiteMinder) download(Example: CA SiteMinder B to B - MULTI-PLATFORM
4.) On the same page select your release.
5.) Also, on the same page select you "Gen" level for the Service Pack you require.
Please remember that this area has no cumulative releases.(See Download area 2 for cumulative releases)
6.) Hit "Go"
7.) Select your Product Component and select the "Download" link next to the component you require.
8.) On the next page click on the "View File Links" to expand it.
9.) Click on the binary and select "Save As" at the bottom of the screen to save to a location on your computer.

 

DOWNLOADS AREA 2

The second download area is the download area where the patched cumulative release versions of the product can be downloaded.
Eample: 12.51cr1, 12.52SP1CR4, etc
If possible, unless a patch has not come out for a version of CA Single Sign On (SiteMinder) yet, I always recommend using the downloads from this area as they have important fixes to the product.
To get this area follow these steps:

1.) Login to support.ca.com using your CA support credentials.(Important: Do this first or you may not be able to get to some links in the following steps)
2.) Go to: https://support.broadcom.com/external/content/release-announcements/CA-Single-Sign-On-Hotfix-Cumulative-Release-Index/6544
3.) Find the version and component of the CA Single Sign On (SiteMinder) product you are looking for(i.e "SiteMinder Policy Server r12.52 SP01 CR04") and click on it.
4.) On the next page click on the "Download" link on the right.(Important: This will only appear if you are logged in with your support credentials)
5.) On the next page click on the "View File Links" to expand it.
6.) Find the download you are looking for and then right click on the link and select "Save Target As" to save to a folder on your Windows box.
