Metrics from Management Pack for the NSX Advanced Load Balancer not collecting

Issue/Introduction

While reviewing AVI LB dashboards, metrics are not collected, such as "Pool Metrics|Throughput" and "Pool Metrics|Open Connections".

Within the Management Pack logs we see:

com.vmware.vcops.exception.AviApiException: org.springframework.web.client.HttpServerErrorException$InternalServerError: 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR: "<h1>Server Error (500)</h1>"

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

To monitor the

 NSX Advanced Load Balancer 

objects in

 VMware Aria Operations

, the collection user configured for the adapter must have at least read only access. 

 

Resolution

Ensure that the NSX user has at least read only access to the following objects within NSX:

• Controller
• Tenant
• Cloud
• Service Engine
• Service Engine Group
• Network
• Pool
• Virtual Service
• Alert
• Controller Site
   

Ensure that the tenant access to the provider service engine is enabled for the tenants on the

NSX Advanced Load Balancer

instance:

 Administration > 

Accounts > 

Tenants

 > Edit > 

Tenant Access to Provider Service Engine
