What does the YDSPLICPRD (Display Product Licenses) function indicates in terms of the number of authorized users for the license modules?
Specifically, what does the âMax # of Jobsâ value (999) represent and what is the actual purpose of this function?
CA 2E - all versions
The YDSPLICPRD command displays a list of the products the user is authorized to, the release level, expiration date, the maximum number of concurrent interactive jobs allowed and the count of active jobs which are active currently.
For four 2E components (2CM, 2DS, 2PG, 2US), we also have a subfile select field against the record. We can take option 5 against these records to view the jobs that are using these components actively.
Whenever we login to a model as a *DSNR, *USER or *PGMR the corresponding records for 2DS, 2US and 2PG are added to the licensing files along with session details (job session name, user name and job number). We can see the counts against those entries in the YDSPLICPRD screen. The count depicts the number of active jobs that are using 2E actively. Whenever we logout of a 2E model in a session, the corresponding session details are cleared but the count on the YDSPLICPRD still remains at the previous value. When we take option 5 against an entry, 2DS records which have the blank session details are deleted (current functionality) and the final count is displayed on the YDSPLICPRD screen.
