No events recorded into the Archive Manager

Issue/Introduction

After a fresh install of a new SpectroSERVER in a DSS environment, there are no events (either based on polling or trap) recorded in the Archive Manager DDM database.

Note: The landscape precedence was changed after the installation.

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum: Any version

Cause

The landscape precedence was changed but not the Events precedence.

$SPECROOT/SS-Tools/.MapUpdate -v

0xb00000    Landscape Default   SpectroSERVER      0xbeef 5      1M model mask 
0xb00000    Landscape           SpectroSERVER      0xbeef 5      1M model mask
0xb00000    Events              SpectroSERVER      0xbafe 40     1M model mask

Resolution

1. Remove the landscape with precedence 40

$SPECROOT/SS-Tools/.MapUpdate -remove  0xb00000 -p 40

2. Stop the Archive Manager

3. Initialize the DDM database

$SPECROOT/SS/DDM/ddm_load.pl -i -l 0xb00000

4. Start the Archive Manager
