Issue/Introduction

Symptom

  • When attempting to download products on  Broadcom support portal , the checkbox next to "I agree to the Terms and Conditions" is inactive.

  • Moving the mouse over the checkbox produces a prohibition image (red circle with a red line though it), per the following image:

  • This issue may only appear for certain versions of a particular software group i.e. you are able to accept the terms and conditions and download VMware NSX 3.x software but not VMware NSX 4.x software.

Environment

VCF Products

Cause

The Broadcom Support Portal requires an active validation of the license agreement before enabling the download button. In many cases, the checkbox is locked until the system detects that the user has opened and scrolled through the specific Terms and Conditions document associated with that software version.

Resolution

  1. First login to Broadcom support portal

  2. To download any Broadcom VCF products on the left side panel go to "My Downloads" and then in the search box type in the product name and then click on the result.
  3. The hyperlink in the "Terms and Conditions" and "Compliance Reporting Terms and Conditions" needs to be first clicked. This will take you the to the terms and conditions in a new browser tab/window.

  4. Once read through, you can go back to the downloads page. The checkbox will now be clickable, and you should be able to download the products.

Note: Incase you are still unable to download the ISO files still, then your contract may not include subscription for the product (eg: SRM), to validate the same, please open a case with Broadcom's non technical team by following - Create a Non Technical case for Support Portal / License / Contract related issues , to validate the contract for the product.
