When crawling very first time or doing after resetting the Indexes, the error message "The parameter is incorrect" is written in SharePoint Crawl Log as a Top Level Error as per below. What causes the error? Does it impact the Federated Search function with SharePoint?

This is a known issue of SharePoint. If Service Desk contents are crawled and you can search them by the Federated Search function successfully, you can disregard the error message. If you run the Full Crawl again without resetting the Indexes, the error will not be written any more.
