Provisioning of on-demand network in NSX-T from Aria Automation 8.x fails in the Network allocation stage with error missing static IP range

Issue/Introduction

• The networkType defined for the NSX network resource in the cloud template if of 'outbound' type.
•  Provisioning of on-demand networks in NSX-T from Aria Automation 8.x fails in the Network allocation stage with the below error in the Provisioning diagram:

         External subnet must have a static IP range configured to provision 'OUTBOUND' on 'nsxt' endpoint

Environment

Aria Automation 8.x

Cause

The networkType: outbound  will create a on-demand networks. Outbound network types require that we have a network configured with a network IP range in the Network Profile.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, follow the document Network Type Outbound and configure the Network range on the Network profile used for on-demand network creation. The error message indicates that we are missing a network range in the network profile.
