Issue/Introduction

The Savings Plan Recommendation tool is not picking up expiring reservations. The start of the evaluation period is far behind than expected, usually more than 2-3 days.

Resolution

The Savings Plan recommendation tool has evaluation period options of either 7 days or 30 days. The evaluation period looks at the last day of complete cost data in the platform (usually 2 days prior to today), and will review the last 7 or 30 days.

 

For example, if today is June 19th, the evaluation period is expected to start from June 17th and the evaluation will end on the following dates

• Last 7 Days: June 12th
• Last 30 days: May 18th

 

This delay can occur due to errors in the cube processing in the platform. If the issue persists, please review the following:

• If the customer is on scalable cost history.
• If there are any cube delays.
