CA DB2 tools Post Install Bind job, ssid0002, is failing with COND CODE 8 with no unsuccessful bind messages.

Issue/Introduction

Problem:

Executing CA Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS Post Install Bind job, ssid0002, and reporting COND CODE 8.

The following messages appear to be related to the RC 8 condition:

Cause:

The PSMPLN01=PSMMxxxx entry is missing from hlq.CDBAPARM member PLANSxx.

 

Resolution:

Add the following entry to PLANSxx member in hlq.CDBAPARM to resolve missing plan error:

PSMPLN01=PSMMxxxx

The above can be accomplished within Post Install, INSMAIN, option 1  Setup - Create/edit global and product PARMLIB members | 2  Global - Create/edit global PARMLIB members.

Another option would be to go into Post Install option 0 Settings - Session and environmental options | 2 Products - Select products to be processed and use ALLU command to unselect all products and then only select products that are licensed to limit the package / plan binds.
