Issue/Introduction

In certain projects, when ready to promote from Staging to Production, the "Promote and Copy to Prod" process is missing.

Environment

Harvest Software change Manager all versions

Cause

We checked the project and state in question with the Administrator Tool and found the "Promote and Copy to Prod" process had never been defined.

Resolution

We copied this process from a project and state that did have it to the project and state that did not.  To accomplish this:

In Administrator Tool navigate to the project and state containing your desired process.  Right click on the process you wish to copy to another project and select "Copy To..."

On the "Copy Process" dialog, you have an opportunity to change the name of the process in the new project, then select the project and state to which you want to copy the process and click OK.

After the copy is completed, you can now see your newly copied process in the new project:

You should review the properties and access list for the new process to ensure they are consistent with the settings of other processes in the project.
